The North Fork cata-raft frame was designed to address the following key factors: portability, rowing efficiency, and structural integrity. The engineering of the North Fork cata-raft frame mimics the house truss design. This gives the frame the ability to cascade energy throughout the frame rather than point loading (energy moving to single points). This design helps avoid breakage and increases the longevity of the frame. Each frame has 6” of adjustment in the seat plate and 3” in the oar towers.
